This masquerade mask was printed flat and form fit to my girlfriends face! So much to say, what a great material, soft and supple yet super strong! It's also super easy to form to the skin when warmed up! It's super hard to calibrate, popular 'test' don't have the geometry required. I had to make my own retraction test using to hollow cylinders fairly far apart on the bed. It requires a lot of cooling time for the previous layer. I did have success printing myself a 'covid mask' but struggle to find a model I like. Also printed a slim cover for the dexcom G6 cgm sensor for my diabetic sister in law, it's worn 24/7 so this was perfect and she loves. The impact strength and layer adhesion is insane for something that prints at 100c (my sweet spot) I was thinking of making myself a soft hammer out of it soon. Now comes the explanation as to why I'm not currently printing with it!!! The PCL seems the have lined the inside of my PTFE tubing with residue from friction inside the tube :( It took almost 3 hours of printing to clear this red stuff to print PETG properly. So I wont be using this unless I'm committed to finishing the roll or find myself a cheap printer I can have dedicated to PCL printing, with no heated bed and such low temp requirement any working printer would probably suffice. Can't recommend it enough, but it's not for the beginners out there.
