PolyTerra™ PLA - Various Colors (1.75mm 1000g)

First off Polymaker just always Prints well. I prefer Pro but for some things Terra is just too beautiful. Here I put Fossil Grey with Banana. Texture perfect reflection of satin colour. Put any two colour of Terra together and be inspired. It’s more abrasive that PLA PRO or even their ASA but regular nozzle. Don’t heat the bed past 50 220 is too hot for nozzle temps vs Pro liking the heat. Prints perfectly laminated with PolyLite TPU95-HF.

Layers really well for a smooth finish.

Bought it to print a few Halloween pumpkins... it's close enough. Prints very nice at 195°C

Seems mediocre. It really is true that the supports are much much easier to remove than standard pla, but there's the rub. This is not standard pla at all. This material, whatever it is, is much much softer than standard pla, not at all tougher like they claim. Maybe """tougher""" in that it has more impact resistance or something, but parts printed with standard pla that I couldn't have a hope of breaking with my hands break easily with this material, parts that I would expect to be rather springy just aren't, and this filament has problems with plastic deformation like nobody's business. It's not that the parts just fall apart or are unusable, they are just much weaker. Furthermore, unlike regular pla, when this material bends or is scraped, it turns complete white at the bend/scrape. This is bad when you are for instance scraping off stringing and artifacts from your print. The end result is that prints made with this will never really look that great or perform that well for physical tasks. The supports are much easier to remove but the downsides are plentiful to say the least. I will add though that I love the recycled cardboard spool idea. Its great, and the cardboard is actually really thick and I have no worries about it bending while in use.
